This Feast is the fortieth day after Christmas. It is traditionally the day for blessing candles for use in the Church. This will take place at the beginning of the 10am Mass today.

Saturday is also the First Saturday of the Month – Confessions 9.15am-9.45am, 9.30am Rosary and Devotions in honour of Our Lady of Fatima.

Next weekend, Saturday evening and Sunday 3rd February, as we have done over the past number of years, we will have the blessing and sale of candles for use in our homes at the 5pm, 9am and 11am Masses. It is traditional for every Catholic household to have at least two blessed candles – see this week's bulletin.
