This Tuesday, 11th February, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, patron of Carfin Grotto. A very warm invitation is extended to everyone to join us in celebrating this Marian Feast at Scotland's National Marian Shrine.
On Monday evening, 10th February, at 7pm, there will be a Holy Hour with Mary and Bernadette. Let us imagine that we are present at the grotto of Massabielle, in the dark of night. The prayers and liturgy for this evening will take place in the church by candle light, an
attempt to replicate the beautiful prayerful atmosphere we encounter in Lourdes itself. As preparation for the feast, we shall spend a ‘holy hour’ in the company of ‘The lady’ (of
Lourdes) and the little Bernadette Soubirous. At the end of the holy hour there will be an opportunity to venerate a relic of St Bernadette. The Motherwell Diocesan Music Group will provide the music.
On Tuesday, 11th February, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, there will be Holy Mass at 10.00am and again at 1.00pm which will include the Sacrament of the Sick. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Xavier Centre.
